The 2007 Fall Festival Quilt
It has been said that Millie Guthrie will always be with
us even though she is now resting in the arms of the Lord and it is more
than evident when you see the Quilt that is being raffled like we have
in years past for the Fall Festival.
Millie was such a wise lady that she left the Grace Quilters
a surprise or two, so that she would still be with them even after she was
gone. The Quilt is a Carolina Lillie Quilt and it will fit a Twin bed as a
spread or a Full to Queen Bed as a topper. We will be seeing tickets at a
cost of $1.00 each or six for $5.00.
You can see Millie’s Quilt every Sunday until the Fall
Festival on October 4th when some lucky person will win it!
Remember all the proceeds of the Fall Festival go to benefit
the Social Ministry of Grace Lutheran.

Updates
We are looking forward to another terrific fall festival thanks to the work
of you volunteers and the individuals and organizations joining us this year.
Don't miss out on the opportunity to be part of this important community
outreach event. We could particularly use help with the Child Games and Child
Crafts. And we need someone to step up to leading the Inflatable Playground
(jump houses) so that we can include that activity. Again, the date is Saturday,
October 4th, from 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM. Here is what we have planned so far (Note:
Although others have signed up, I have only listed the leads here):
Silent Auction
JoAnn Chambers is seeking donations of new or very gently used items (not
garage sale items) for the Silent Auction. In years past we have had some really
great donations and have had a successful silent auction. Some of the donations
have been things, like gift card and certificates for local merchants, gift
baskets of everything from and At Home Movie Night to Christmas Home Décor
Baskets. Your Donations will be accepted starting now please see or call JoAnn
Chambers if you have any questions.
Fall Fest Volunteers
Tommy Jordan Fall Festival director is still seeking volunteers to assist
with the activities planned for the fall festival. There are still many time
slots that need to be filled, if you volunteer you will also have access to the
Hospitality Room that is being hosted by COSTCO. (lots of goodies in there).
You do not have to stay at one activity the how time you can sign up for one
hour at any of the many activities and then move on to another.
It will be a day that is filled with fun, food and entertainment for the
entire family and the community!
