Psalm 103:1-5
A - 1Bless the
LORD, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless his holy name.
C- 2Bless the LORD, O my soul, and do not forget all his benefits
—
A- 3who forgives all your iniquity, who heals all your diseases,
C- 4who redeems your life from the Pit, who crowns you with
steadfast love and mercy
A - 5who satisfies you with good as long as you live so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's.
Psalm 23:1-6
A - 1The
Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
C- 2He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth
me beside the still waters.
A -3He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness
for his names sake.
C- 4Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort
me.
A - 5Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of
mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
C - 6Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days
of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord
for ever.
P - All who are baptized
into Christ have put on Christ. In his baptism,
Jerry, was clothed with Christ. In the day of Christ's coming,
he shall be clothed with glory.

heaven and earth, who formed us from the dust of the earth, who by your breath
gave us life, we glorify you.
C - We glorify you.

Hymn of the Day “Amazing Grace, How Sweet the Sound”
1 Amazing grace, how sweet the sound,
that saved a wretch like me!
I once was lost, but now am found;
was blind, but now I see.
2 ’Twas grace that taught my heart to fear,
and grace my fears relieved;
how precious did that grace appear
the hour I first believed!
3 Through many dangers, toils, and snares
I have already come;
’tis grace has brought me safe thus far,
and grace will lead me home.
4 The Lord has promised good to me;
his word my hope secures;
he will my shield and portion be
as long as life endures.
Text: John Newton, 1725-1807
CREED
The Apostles' Creed may be spoken.
C- I believe in God,
the Father almighty,
creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, God's only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried;
he descended into hell.
On the third day he rose again;
he ascended into heaven,
he is seated at the right hand of the Father,
and he will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting. Amen.
Prayers of intercession
Prayers of intercession are prayed. To each petition the assembly responds:
P - God of mercy,
C- hear our prayer.
The presiding minister concludes the prayers, and the assembly responds
C- Amen.

Lord’s Prayer
C - Our Father, who
art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name,
thy kingdom come,
thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread;
and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those
who trespass against
us;
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the
kingdom,
and the power, and the glory,
forever and ever. Amen.
C* Sending Hymn “Great Is Thy Faithfulness”

P - Into your hands, O
merciful Savior, we commend your servant Jerry.
Acknowledge, we humbly beseech you, a sheep of your own fold, a lamb of your own
flock, a sinner of your own redeeming. Receive him into the arms of your mercy,
into the blessed rest of everlasting peace, and into the glorious company of the
saints in light.
C - Amen.
